"you gotta live it every day ..."

Badlands!! That's where we are heading on the first leg of this adventure. It has a lot of meaning for us as this was the first trip Dan and I ever took together ('92-'93???). The inspiration came from a date we went on to see Dances with Wolves. This Long G-Island girl asked how they could have filmed such scenery thinking that places like that no longer existed. A few years later, when Dan stopped laughing at me, he took me to see for myself. I don't think I could speak for the first 10-12 hours of our vacation. We'll let you know if the place has changed as much as we have. We plan on hitting the road on Sunday, the 30th and taking about 4 days to get out there.
